Terms of use
Short answer: Schengen Days is a free, unofficial planning aid. It is general information, not legal or immigration advice, and the border authorities’ own count is the one that applies. By using the site, the calculator or the embedded widget, you agree to these terms.
Who we are
Schengen Days (schengen.harbor.it.com) is run by LastLap Lab LLC, a company in the United States. It is not affiliated with the European Union, any EU institution or any government.
What the calculator is — and isn’t
- The calculator, the embeddable widget and the guides are a planning aid and general information. They are not legal or immigration advice.
- What counts is the decision of border officials, which is based on your passport and the EU’s Entry/Exit System (EES) record. The EU’s official short-stay calculator and the EES stay checker are the official tools.
- Results depend entirely on the dates and countries you enter. You are responsible for entering them correctly.
- It assumes the standard 90/180 short-stay rule. It does not model residence permits, long-stay visas, bilateral agreements or special cases.
Check before you travel
Rules and dates change, and our information may be out of date even though we check it regularly. Before you travel, confirm your situation with official sources, the embassy or consulate of the country you are visiting, or a qualified immigration adviser.
Email alerts
If you sign up for rule-change alerts, they are sent on a best-effort basis. They may be late, incomplete or missed. Never rely on them as your only source of information or reminder.
No warranty
The site, the calculator, the widget and the alerts are provided free, “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including accuracy, completeness and fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LastLap Lab LLC is not liable for any loss or damage arising from using or relying on the site, the calculator, the widget or the alerts — including refusal of entry, fines, entry bans, removal, missed or changed travel, or any other consequence.
Embedding
You may embed the widget on your own site free of charge, unchanged and with its credit link. We may change or withdraw it at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA. Nothing in them removes rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
